§ I — Our Services
Three Services, Each Addressing a Different Stage of Integration
Birchcrest offers three operationally focused services for integration teams — each with a defined scope, a fixed price in Singapore dollars and a clear written output.
Back to Home§ II — Our Methodology
How We Approach Integration Support
Our methodology starts from the operational reality of the combination rather than from a consulting framework. We begin by understanding what each organisation actually does — its processes, its systems, its reporting lines and its external relationships — rather than how it describes itself in strategic documents.
From that foundation, we identify the operational considerations that matter for the integration: where the two organisations overlap, where they have gaps, and what needs to be resolved before or on the day of combination. That analysis drives both the mapping deliverable and the day-one readiness work.
For the ongoing sounding-board arrangement, the methodology is different in character — less structured, more conversational, but still disciplined. We use scheduled calls with a consistent agenda, written notes after each conversation and a regular review of the integration artefacts the lead is working with. The aim is to give the lead a dependable outside view throughout the process, not just at defined moments.
Everything we produce is written up and provided to the client. We do not deliver integration advice verbally and expect it to be remembered and acted on. Written records are a core part of what we offer.

§ III — Service One
01 — Four-week engagement
Pre-Integration Operational Mapping
A structured four-week engagement that maps the operating models of two organisations ahead of a planned combination. We document each organisation's main processes, identify overlaps and gaps, and produce a written summary with a short list of operational considerations for the integration plan. The output is designed to support an in-house integration lead, not to replace their judgement.
What the engagement covers
- Documentation of each organisation's core operational processes
- Side-by-side comparison to identify overlapping functions
- Gap identification — where the combined entity will need new processes
- Written summary and a short operational considerations list
Typical process
- 1Introductory calls with each organisation's operational leads
- 2Process documentation and cross-referencing
- 3Overlap and gap analysis with integration lead
- 4Delivery of written summary and considerations list
§ IV — Service Two
02 — One-day session
Day-One Operational Readiness Workshop
A one-day working session for an integration leadership team of up to ten people, focused on the operational topics that need to be resolved before the day of combination. The session covers staff communications, internal systems access, customer continuity and supplier notification — the four areas most likely to create visible disruption if they are not prepared for adequately. The output is a one-page written readiness summary.
What the session covers
- Staff communication plan — what is said, by whom, and when
- Internal systems access — who can access what on day one
- Customer continuity — service and relationship handover
- Supplier notification — contractual and operational implications
- One-page written readiness summary for internal use
Typical session structure
- 1Pre-session briefing with integration lead (30 min call)
- 2Full-day workshop with team of up to ten (structured agenda)
- 3Written readiness summary delivered within 48 hours
§ V — Service Three
03 — Monthly arrangement
Integration Lead Sounding-Board
A monthly arrangement for integration leads who want a reliable outside view on operational decisions and pacing during a multi-month integration period. The arrangement includes two scheduled calls per month, written notes after each call and discreet review of integration artefacts shared ahead of conversations. It is designed to give the lead a dependable sounding board throughout the integration, rather than just at the beginning.
What is included each month
- Two scheduled calls (typically 45–60 minutes each)
- Written notes circulated within 24 hours of each call
- Discreet review of artefacts shared in advance
- Flexible duration — continue as long as useful, stop when not
What this arrangement is not
This is not a managed integration service, and we do not take on decision-making authority. The integration lead remains responsible for all decisions. Our role is to provide a considered outside view, ask questions that might not be coming from elsewhere, and help the lead think through the operational implications of the choices being made.
§ VI — Comparison
Which Service Is Right for Your Situation?
Each service addresses a different phase and type of need. Most clients use one or two services rather than all three, depending on where the integration sits and what the immediate priorities are.
